HullSurvivor Emergency Hull Seal

HullSurvivor Hull Seal is a soft but firm seal designed to fully cover the irregular shapes of a hull breach.  Different from bungs and plugs, the HullSurvivor covers a round or irregular breach to slow or stop the leak and uses the water pressure to keep the seal in place.

Keep the Sea on the right side of your vessel!

  • Hull Saver is a circular disk with concentric sealing rings and center trunion
  • Not guaranteed to stop all water leaks - designed to be used alone or in conjunction with other emergency equipment including bilge pumps to significantly reduce the inflow of water after a hull breach
  • Two sizes included for large and small breaches
  • Small HullSurvivor suitable for holes up to four inches in diameter
  • Large HullSurvivor suitable for holes up to six inches in diameter

Deploying the HullSurvivor :

  • From inside the vessel, HullSurvivor is rolled by hand and inserted through the breach and pulled back against the outside of the hull with a piece of wire or cord attached to the trunion, stopping or reducing the inward flow of water as the disk returns to its original shape and is held tight to the breach by the pressure of the water against the hull
  • From outside the vessel, HullSurvivor is simply placed over the hole, stopping or reducing the inward flow of water as the disk is held tight to the breach by the pressure of the water against the hull
  • HullSurvivor can be held in place even tighter by attaching wire or cord to the trunion and attaching to a support inside the vessel
  • Although no adhesive is required, HullSurvivor can be fixed in place with an adhesive like 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200
